Aelia
Building a slow fashion brand from the ground up: identity, strategy, and visual language for a capsule wardrobe concept rooted in natural fibers and Mediterranean calm
Aelia is a self-initiated brand concept developed by Three Hellos Creative Director Lauren Constantine, a slow fashion label built around linen capsule wardrobes, natural fibers, and an anti-urgency philosophy. The project was an opportunity to apply Three Hellos' full strategic and design process to a brand built entirely from intention rather than trend.
Unlike client work, this project had no existing equity to protect and no outside brief to follow. Only a clear vision and the discipline to build something cohesive, considered, and genuinely differentiated in a crowded market.
The Challenge
The slow fashion space is increasingly saturated with brands that look similar: muted palettes, minimalist type, aspirational lifestyle imagery. The challenge was creating an identity that felt warm and distinctly human rather than coldly aesthetic, while still communicating the quality and intentionality the brand stands for.
The brand also needed to work for an audience-building phase before any product launch, meaning every visual and content decision had to establish trust and community without the crutch of a product to sell.
The Solution
The Aelia identity is built around warmth, restraint, and quiet confidence. A custom wordmark anchors the system, supported by a hand-drawn cotton boll illustration created by Lauren and vectorized for use across all brand touchpoints. The illustration communicates the brand's natural fiber roots without being literal or expected.
The color palette draws from warm neutrals and Mediterranean earth tones, and the typography system pairs elegance with approachability. Brand touchpoints include a monogram system, hang tag mockups, embossed stationery concepts, and a social presence built to feel editorial without feeling distant.

Brand System Integration
Aelia shows what happens when the Three Hellos process is applied with complete creative freedom. Every decision, from the hand-drawn illustration to the brand voice, reflects a deliberate point of view rather than a trend. The result is a brand that feels considered, cohesive, and ready to grow.
